Foreign Transfer Online
Send money overseas anytime, from anywhere!
You can now use Horizon’s internet banking service to reliably and conveniently send money overseas to more than 200 countries and territories, in over 130 different currencies.
If you can’t make it into a branch, or need to send money overseas on the fly, you can easily make an International Telegraphic Transfer (TT) using HandyNet (online banking) via your computer or laptop. The funds will be in the currency of the country to which you are sending.
Simply log on to HandyNet, go to the Payments tab and select International Transfer. The country specific information and ‘help text’ will guide you through your transfer from start to finish.
As an added security measure you must be registered for SMS One Time Password in HandyNet. This means that every transfer attempted on your account will require a code (that is sent to your mobile phone) to be entered before the transfer can commence. To register for SMS One Time Password log onto HandyNet and choose Setup Security Options.
What is a Telegraphic Transfer (TT)?
Why should I use a TT?
*Please note that TT’s are sent via a network of correspondent banks, which sometimes levy a small handling charge on your payment. Any such fees, and payment delays, are out of our control.
Drafts are like an international bank cheque, made out to the beneficiary in their local currency. You can send them in the mail so they're ideal if you want to enclose the payment with a card or letter. Drafts are also a good option if you don't have the beneficiary's bank account details. Drafts are available in a wide range of currencies.
