We recently conducted a scheduled upgrade to our internet banking. One of the outcomes is that users will now see “pending transactions”.


A Pending Transaction is when:

  • The credit option has been selected when completing a Horizon Visa Debit or Credit Card transaction;
  • A payWave, Apple Pay or Android Pay has been used;
  • A security authorisation deposit is placed on the account. For example, if you use your Visa card at a hotel, this will show as pending but will disappear if no charges are made.
  • When a cheque is deposited it will show as pending until the cheque is cleared.

Pending transactions will display until the cheque deposit is cleared or the Visa transaction is debited. Visa authorisations can take up to 7 days.
