The South Coast’s only truly locally owned credit union is on the move in Bega.

Regional Operations Manager for Horizon Credit Union, Jodie Russell said “We see the relocation to the main street as sending a positive message to the people of Bega Valley. We offer a refreshing, competitive, more than viable alternative to traditional banking financial institutions.”

“We’ve been looking after the people on the South Coast for 47 years and counting. We mean business!” added Mrs Russell.

Horizon has had a presence on the South Coast since 1963. Today we have over 15,000 members and the credit union manages over $222 million in assets.

“We put people before profit. Why bank when you can credit union?” said Mrs Russell.

Horizon Credit Union’s General Manager, Jon Stanfield, attributes Horizon’s growth in the region to a genuine commitment to its members and community.

“In fact, it is our commitment to the community and our wide range of services which have ensured we have kept pace with much larger financial institutions,” said Mr Stanfield.

The Bega branch has been relocated to 184 Carp Street and will be open from 9:00am to 5:00pm each weekday, while also offering a 24-hour ATM facility which accepts all cards.
